Ljubomir Peklar’s Kickstarter-funded first-person, body-horror puzzle-shooter, Scorn has been a long time in the making. The game was originally crowdfunded back in 2014, and it took them eight years to finally finish it. The Serbian development studio, Ebb Software, based the structure of the game’s visuals and themes around the works of H.R. Giger and famed polish artist Zdzislaw Berksinki. The final product of Scorn is thus a visually captivating and horrifying experience, themed around birth, rebirth, and grotesque forms of deformation. It’s considered one of the most gross games ever made by some critics, and rightfully so.
