Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Origins was the first big step away from the traditional formula of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. It was no longer just a stealth, parkour, action-adventure, melee-focused pseudo-RPG. Assassin’s Creed: Origins decided to do away with a lot of the parkour and stealth and focus on the action-adventure, hack-and-slash elements that is sort of a poor imitation of the Soulsborne formula.
